i like Pisces but its a 2hr bus ride if the transfers do not get screwed up from where i live. Been to riverside downtown and didn't like their set up when i was there. Beleive it or not but the Petsmart by Sunridge mall is where i usually go and their plant tank should be good to go again. Will stop by on payday. Petland is okay but they do not seem to have the selection of lowlight plants that i need. There is a small fish store called imperial by Marlborough mall but they do not have the plants love getting my fish there thou.

I live in NE Calgary. I am getting started breeding guppies and hope to get some cloud minnows breeding soon. I have been looking for a pet store here in nNE Calgary that sells plants for a low light aquarium that fry can safely hide in. (using cheap light on the 10 gal breeding tank so need low light plants like java moss tell i can afford to upgrade the light) Using plastic plants currently but not working as well as i had hoped and i can't find a petstore that has plants for fry when i have cash. The one that i trust near me is recycling there plant tanks because of a problem they noticed and have no plants currently and say it will be a while tell they are safely going again plant wise.(since i bus and do not drive want it to be fairly close so I don't have to worry about taking to long to get home). So basically anybody have ideas or know a lfs they trust in ne calgary that i could check out plant wise?

have mine in with guppies, ropefish, placo, knifefish snails and minnows. it is a fairly large tank but she is happy with her hiding spot and doesn't bug the other fish and they leave fer alone.

i have 2 rope fish and will link the website i have found the most useful for info on them. They have not been bread in captivity as far as i have found out and they are a nocturnal fish that hunts. mine however will come out in the daytime if they are hungry or want to bug my parrot cichlid in the same tank. they do have a primitive set of lungs so will come up to the tank top for air once in a while. unless they have a cave or something to hide in they will get out of your tank and hunt for one and with their primitive lungs they can survive out of the water for 2-3 hours so escape your tanks if you have these guys. full grown they can get large. triing to figure out hot to post pics of my tank an none of them are working. can't link photos from my photobuckets photos and they wont upload from comp even thou i have resized them down to almost nothing they are still to big. How do you gusy upload your photo's?

hi, just joined an I'm from calgary. I have a 10 gal with 8 white cloud minnows and a 55 gal freshwater with 2 ropefish, 1 ghostknife, 1 common pleco, 5 mystery snails, 1 parrot cichlid, 8 guppies, 1 iridescant shark.
