  1. I got a lot of my fish from FairDeal here on the forum. If you look in the buy sell section you can find his ads.
  2. Thanks, i think if you can keep it peaceful then it looks great.
  3. Design #3. My favorite and i think it will stay like this for a while.
  4. Yes i do feed them with the plants on top. All my fish get 1mm Sinking NLS. With the amount of fish and movement in that tank, the pellets don't stay long at the top. It would all depend on how dense your plants are. You can always move them to the side when you feed or give them a shake when your done. The look is worth the hassle.
  5. Everything is included except for the fish and a couple of the decorations i will be transferring to the tanks im keeping.
  6. Because we dont have time and were planning on moving out.
  7. Does anyone have any idea on what this would be worth. I have probably spent around $6000 setting it up. I understand im not going to get what i paid. Whats the usual mark down. I was hoping to at least get 1/3 of the price back. Does this seam reasonable?
  8. Im thinking about downsizing and i just want everyone's opinion on what i should sell my equipment for and if there would be any interest in it. This is the link to my journal. Racking System Link One wall has 9- 33 Gallon tanks. All have glass tops as well as under gravel filters. The rack is made of wood and has 2 lights per level. The second wall has 6- 58 Gallon tanks, and 1- 55 gallon tank. The 58 Gallon tanks have glass tops but the 55 doesn't. Running along both of the racks is an air pipe. There is 1 air line per tank tied into the air pipe. Im not sure what i should sell this set up for. If anyone has some suggestions on the price, please let me know. If anyone is interested in this set up, make me an offer.
  9. I have never had a problem. I keep 1" fry with 2 1/2" fry and they do fine.
  10. Figured i would keep track of all the designs i have done in this tank. First Design when we got the tank New and improved (my opinion)

Thank you, a lot of work has gone into it and there is still a lot more to come. I liked your fish room as well. Your working with a much smaller room than i am. You have done well with the space you have.

Second wall. There are six 58 gallon tanks on the bottom 2 rows and a 55 gallon tank on top. On either side of the 55, im going to enclose it with shelves and doors. This is the room where the tanks are. Its the fish/work out room. Air pump I use Air piping which is at the top of the racks. Air valves i use to tie off of the main air pipe. I have 2 lines per tank.

Haha thanks. There are a couple in the basement. They have been moved since we set up the second wall. Don't know which one that was.

I can imagine. Don't think i am willing to do that. Have fair size heaters in all the tanks.
  16. I just finished setting up a rack. Check out my forum. Only pictures to really help you out, i don't have any of the dimensions on there but might give you an idea..
  17. Well, Just put up another 12 tanks and were trying to figure out how much electricity will cost. With 6 tanks running before, our power bill ranged from $130-$150 per month. I don't think thats too bad since there are 2 computers on 24/7 in the house. Hopefully It doesn't jump too high. Under gravel filters on all the tanks( which surprisingly seem to be working quite well) so that will lower the costs a bit. Also we have 11 lights spanning over 16 tanks. So that minimized 5 lights. With the calculation of $6/tank/month, i should be paying $108 a month for the tanks. I don't think it has jumped quite that high but only time will tell.
  18. I had this happen to one of my Venustus a while back. Starting spiraling out of control like it lost its buoyancy . I did some reading up on it and the only cause i could find was the fish eats too much which causes a blockage in its system which retains air. This is why its buoyancy is lost. My fish died as well.
  19. Im hoping to make it. Not 100% sure but defiantly going to try.
