  1. Welcome Mark!! As someone who has seen your discus before...I can honestly say they are definitely some very gorgeous fish!!! Hmm...maybe that'll have to be my next "thing"!

    Hey All

Welcome! Do you currently have fish?
  3. IME, shrimp lose their color faster when there is a potential predator around...if you think about it...why would they want to keep their color when they are extremely visible to the fish that want to eat them?
  4. I would agree with Abby...Mollies. Black, white...they're active and in the color scope of what young babies can see.
  5. I've had spixis eat their own babies and each other as well as other snail...ime they are very similar in hunting/eating other snails to assassins.
  6. I keep telling you that you don't need the couch anymore...remove it and place more tanks there! that way we have easier access to the rest of the tanks. lol
  7. Very cute tank! I find pygmy cories are awesome to watch. I just like how they school.
  8. Do they have hiding places? Are there other fish in the tank with them? What is your light and feeding schedule?
  9. I really like their orange fins! very nice!
  10. Awww...I feel for ya. Maybe you should move to the city? LOL ;-)
  11. Yesterday my latest bout of retail therapy saw me buy a fish that is easily 2.5 times bigger than any of the other fish in the tank I put him in! I bought a HUGE male Venustus! I even woke up this morning with no missing fish or dead fish! lol
  12. WOW!!! That is awesome!!! Lucky find!!
  13. Congrats! Pics pics pics!! LOL

    Hello!

Welcome! Pics are greedily enjoyed. Especially of such a wonderful collection. ;-)
  15. If you buy dry rock and seed it with some live rock you can save yourself a lot of money. Do you want corals? If yes, you'll need to consider lighting and maybe a skimmer. If no, then it's less complicated.
  16. The stripe looking rock thing is the fish hiding behind a rock that does have a small hole. The dark shape on the Right is the fry
  17. I think you should go ahead and post some pics so we can see 'em...maybe we can even post some pics on the website...i'll have to check on that. I'm all mighty and powerful...but not really...lmao
  18. OOooo...just snagged my first glimpse of the new Julidichromis transcriptus (Gombe) fry tonight...I was wondering why all the other fish were at the opposite end of the tank...all huddled together playing nice.
