  1. I just bought a house and looking to move a 430 and a 270 gallon in problem is there is Subfloor Air Plus Panel - Air Gap Technology - under the carpet has anyone ever set up large tanks on it or did it crush under the weight
  2. I wonder if the plastic bio pellets they make for salt water would work I have only had my pellets running for a month but I expect to see some results soon but that's on my salt tank.
  3. I had the same thing on my 430 gallon it was 28 inch tall 1/2 inch glass I put I 1/2 inch x 1 1/2 inch brace on the top and bottom has been filled now for 3 years
  4. same pair as the last 4 pups but this one has more spots should turn out real nice.
  5. have had fish sent prob total ten times and only once have they been ready in the hour they say usually closer to 3 up to 4 hours. Anyone else have the same problem is there any other places we can get fish shipped through. Once they even dropped it on the tarmac and found it later on the next load.
  6. had another two pups this time on sat already starting to eat and the other one is there big sister at about 6 months old three littlers all about 90 days appart
  7. seen at least a 12x12 inch one at aquagiant almost bought it just to put in my sump it was huge didnt even think they made them that big
  8. well done my last two litters was only one pup did you find a bunch of dead ones or was this the onlyone you seen
  9. keep the heaters in the second bubble trap and seem to do a good job of pushing all the water around them
  10. I went cheap as well buddy had a old 90 gallon but was to tall so i took the pain off cut it down and put it on the top so the tank sat on its side still 90 gallons then i cut up my first fish tank (15 gallon ) made the baffels out of it. i have about 140# of ceramic rings in the center i put filter whool in the first chamber to polish. there is enough room in the last chamber to go about a week worth of evap if i dont have the lids on but always do water changes before then anyways. i wish i went bigger yet i havent noticed a problem and everything seems to be in check. clean it about twice a year i pull everything out rince it off and wash everything. only thing is when the power goes out because of the tank has such a wide foot print it only frops 3/4 inch but comes up to about a cm from thr top of the sump but so far so good
  11. when i moved my tank 84x42x28 its only half inch glass so prob not as heavy 8 guys and a dolly i was able to pick it up to the dolly wheel it where i needed and then cover the stairs in blankets and slide it down the hard part was the pivot at the bottom of the stairs. crazy thing is im just renting and did all of this knowing ill have to get it out one day also used lifting straps and worked wonders had suction cups but hard to trust when I move out I plan on crating it up with wood then it will have handles to hold on to it hook it up to the quad and winch it up the stairs it works in my mind so it has to work
