  1. Oh Can I use one of those photos as a desktop background? Sure thing.
  2. I cant decide which is my favorite but they are both favorites for the moment. I need to get time to go out shooting again!
  3. Canar in edmonton. Tufa is cheap and safe. So is the Lace Rock.
  4. LOL. Wouldn't believe how long it took me to figure out 'finkids'!!
  5. Same thing last time i moved my Demasoni. 3 of the little guys managed for nearly a week before i noticed them in the old tank with no heat circulation or food.
  6. Thanks all. I would love to spend some more time on the coast. Go find some tide pools and whatnot but the vacation was nice while it lasted. Golfing was great too. a couple more bird shots here.
  7. Was recently in california to golf and visit family and visited a place called Dana Point. Gorgeous Coastline and wonderful blue-green water. Thought I'd share a few pictures. Thats it for now.
  8. I just went in and picked it up but at the time they only had a couple bags in stock. Calling might not be a bad idea to make sure they have some on hand.
  9. I will say a fast lens on an slr makes the job a lot easier. Same thing with using off camera flash with an slr. Thats pretty good considering you're working with a Sony W35 point and shoot. You end up taking 5x the pictures to get keepers than you would on a faster camera/lens setup.
  10. I have a near white pool filter sand in a number of tanks. I believe the company i got it from was sunshine pool and mechanical or something similar. I got a 100lb bag for 40 dollars or 30 iirc.
  11. I will say that fish tend to be one of the hardest things to get right. Saltwater tends to be easier with all the extra light but some of the fish tend to be more active too so there's a trade off. One of the things that involves the most throw away shots of just about anything.
  12. That's coming off a Nikon D90 with the Nikon 105mm macro.
  13. I've always done bristlenose. Other than a little curiousity i've never had much aggression but my rockwork gives them a safe place to go if needed.
