  1. I have kept res for years and there are a lot of plants that I have tried, The only one that did kinda good in there was duckweed. They still ate it but it was slow. I also had been growing the duckweed in another tank with lots of light and kept adding it in the turtle tank. Other than that no other plants would stay in the tank more than a few days.
  2. Whoa, nice. Definitly some nice tank and fish there.
  3. LOL. Ya they are pretty much the only fish that I care to keep nowadays. Very nice fish. Do you have any full shots of they tanks that they reside in?
  4. I have always liked tho tang goby cichlid. Always wanted to own a pair. Very awesome.
  5. Just wondering if anyone has found any in alberta. Would prefer the frozen stuff, but freeze dried is ok as well. Thank you.
  6. I used it for some time. I found it very light and plants had to be tied down to a rock to keep planted. Then I covered it in regular gravel. When I was using it I found that I had some ammonia readings, later found that it has little ammonia balls in it. It did no harm to the plants or fish, but is there. Also plants loved the stuff.
  7. I tried to move some that way awhile ago. Had them In a rubbermaid with a small air pump and the heater on in the van. I dont know if it was the stress or altitude change or maybe the water swishing, but they did not make the trip. I felt bad for even trying. But that was me. Maybe I could have tried to bag them, but bagging a few fish that were 5-6 inches didnt make sense to me at that time. Maybe another way, but seems like quite a few to transfer. Maybe bagging them and flying them there with you?
  8. Its all good. I am no longer looking for any at this time. Thanks for trying to help a fellow fish keeper out tho.
  9. Hey welcome to the site and the addiction.
  10. If jayba doesn't have any I got some from peter at Canadian aquatics.
  11. yup pretty nice. Wish that I had kept some to have a say. But I say very nice indeed.
  12. I can say that I have. But the first thing that I thought of was that those tables are lats of wood glues together. So depending on where on the table you put the tank, the lats might start coming apart. Now if you put you tank on a table where it fit from the back to the front, I, personally would think that would be better. Just my 2 pennies.
  13. And they are steel canisters right?
  14. How much does it cost for a 10lb co2 tank from one of those places? Is it all the same even for a 15lb?
