  1. In the instructions it says to reconnect empty so that the air will escape when its priming. Works everytime for me. My quick disconnect was leaky abit and ithanks to some searching found that a few wraps of teflon tape seals it solid.
  2. You have to re prime it when you remove it. Always put your filter back empty of water.
  3. They're very nice. Good find! What are they called?
  4. That's looks great! Can't wait to see final product. Are you going to use any other plants? Something with a bright color?
  5. 50% water change weekly? That's a lot.
  6. Thank you. Well I've changed my setup in that and amoung other reasons. I edited my post above.
  7. Excellent information! Thank you. I want high light cause from what I know I need high light for colorful plants which btw is a beautiful tank! But ok I'm going to start with co2 and try that first. But first I need to research more on ferts. Do all of you test for specific nutrients? And then add specifically or just a general fert like flourish?
  8. Ooohhhhhh ic. Ok if that's the case I will do co2 I looked up excel and that's interesting ill do some more research and make a decision. Ok so I am doing co2 how would I achieve high light in a 20g lol
  9. So my plan is: 20g tank, 2 panther crabs, 1m/1f, 4 cherry shrimp saying they survive, 4 otocinclus, 5 cardinal tetra, 3 guppies. Aquaclear 30, rena xp3, planted, co2. Rena xp3 I acquired through some trades and I'm using spray bar pointed at glass. ill have a high point in the middle of tank for them to dry off. Suggestions or opinions please! Edit- change of setup
  10. I was recently at the one in southpark and all tanks were empty and the last of the plants were in a soupy, mixture of water. Wish I would have known before everything was gone... basically fyi southpark is soldout.
  11. Well how would I accomplish high light in a 20g?
  12. Bummer but it is what it is. If I do co2 I think ima try a paintball co2 with a regulator
  13. No plan for co2, yet but I dose fertilizer, every 2 weeks or so.
  14. I have a 20 g high, so about 16 inchs deep, 24 long. I have a double bulb 15w t8 hood came with tank. 30 w total not much. Now how would I increase the amount of light so I can have "high light plants"? Increase wattage? More bulbs? Or is there specific 15w bulbs I can use?
