It worked. Soaked it in the bath for a few hours and hit it with a plastic putty knife. Put it back in a couple of times to get the stubborn stuff off. Thanks, didnt want to risk any of the chemicals hardware stores suggested.

Anyone have any ideas on how to remove acrylic paint from an acrylic aquarium? Someone suggested scraping with a razor blade, but think that may leave scratches

Hi, moved up here 8 years ago from Australia, but have been off work for the last 3 years while I wait for a liver transplant. Buying some bird supplies from our local pet shop last week, I saw some bettas. I'm not supposed to keep fish ( or pets ) post transplant because of the risk of infection. But what the, I can keep a 5 gallon tank if I wore gloves while cleaning, I've decided to get some fish back into my life. Found you guys while googling suppliers etc and liked what I saw. Will be looking at past posts and asking questions eg what's a heater for ???
