  1. good luck finding a place me and my girlfriend had the hardest time finding a place but luckly she did and we move in tommorow from Winnipeg
  2. not to be mean to those other stores but where are all the good stores like golds, riverfront or animal house?
  3. Are there any fish or reptile stores near Mount Royal College? I am moving near there and just wondering what the closest stores are to me Thanks
  4. Hey everyone i have an idea for a tank but i got a couple questions. I'm planning on getting a crowntail betta ( i think thats what they are called), and i'm going to put it into a 5 gallon tank now here is my questions 1. Can i put lucky bamboo into the tank like that stuff you buy from.... rona or superstore, one of those places? 2. What type of light would i need cus i'm just going to stick the bamboo and some java moss into the tank 3. For substrate i was thinking of using playground sand would this be fine for planting the bamboo into? 4. And lastly not really plant related but do you think it would be alright to stick my green phantom pleco into the tank just because my flowerhorn is getting a little too mean, and has a hunger for green phantom plecos. Thanks
  5. Hello all so not living in Calgary yet but i am going to be and i was wondering where are good places to get tanks built or bought from, and how much roughly? Cause i have like a 165 and i'm looking at it everyday thinking that it's going to be a reall pain in the @$$ if i have to move that thing. Getting it here will be no problem but once it's here it will be just me and my girlfriend and i really doubt she will be able to help me it took two very well able guys to move this thing. So i was looking at getting something bigger also like 180-200 gallon i saw somewhere on here that i tank used 180 was like $250 or something like cause thats crazy cheap, here it would be like....? Well i don't know but some guy is selling a 125 with stand for $450 here in winnipeg and it's even a home-made tank.
  6. K bare with me i don't know much about these guys a friend of mine is looking at getting a couple F8 or green spotted for his 20 he was only going to put 2 of either one. But he doesn't want to feed them snails all of the time to grind down there teeth, so i thought what about cuttle fish bone, like the stuff that people give to birds to grind down there teeth. Could we throw a chunk of that stuff in the tank? Thanks
  7. wow thanks for everyone posting everybody has a bunch of different neat fish Unrealted question: What do those numbers mean in your sig? Well the 40 and the 20 is just the size of the tank that they are in and the 0.2.0 it's a reptile thing the first # means male the second # means female and the third means unknown so when i say i have 0.2.0 that means i have 2 female leopard geckos and 0.0.4 i have 4 green tree frogs but the sex is unknown once you know what it is it's really easy to understand
  8. Hey Toirtis your on the winnipeg fish forum aswell? Right
  9. so when i set up the big tank and hopefully a bigger tank even i am going to keep oddball, old school fish like gars, bichirs, arows so just wondering where the best place is to get these kind of fish like best quality priceall that jazz thanks
  10. there the best just i have to have every little tiny hole covered or they will get out
