  1. Isn't that now on the invasive species list now? Egeria densa
  2. If that's a sword in the back mid right I would replace it with something that is smaller, I had a sword completely take over a 65gal. The layout is really nice I think the tank will grow in beautifully.
  3. That's a pretty good idea, will people still be able to put plants in the sunday auction?
  4. Give cryptocoryne a shot they're pretty hardy and undemanding.
  5. Hi and welcome, I hope you enjoy the hobby as much as we do. I started with a free 20g tank that I didn't even want and now have 3 hi tech planted tanks.
  6. Marsilea Tons of Cryps Stargrass Anubias Uruguay Sword Rotala Indica Bolbitis Staruogyne Glossostigma Lindernia Subwasswetang Amoracia aquatica Alternatheira Rotala macrandra Uh probably a few more other species o plants too I just can't think of them all right now. Bacopas moneiri and australis.
  7. Happy roots happy plants. Root health is often underestimated and forgotten in most plants. Good job.
  8. Wow that looks great! Good job on the beautiful artwork.
  9. +1 on lettuce or tomatoes or food, jasmine or scented plants sounds cool too. I wonder if parsley or basil might even work or those mini hot peppers. Wow this thread is making me hungry just thinking of all the possibilities.
  10. No deal! Anyway back to the thread topic I remember the auctioneer last year mentioning important things such as not overfilling bags with water so fish have enough oxygen, plants don't need to be in a bag full of water and double bagging certain species of fish was also recommended. Are there any other things we should keep in mind? What are people planning on bringing, you can count on seeing lots of my plants there, tanks are on grow out mode right now so the portions should be healthy enough.
  11. You're welcome to babysit anytime we won't charge you hha!
  12. Cotton sewing thread works well to attach flame moss. Can't see the thread after two weeks worth of growth. Can't see the wood after a month....
  13. You could try marsilea for your foreground, my cories dig mine up a bit at first but i'm more stubborn than they are. Another species might be dwarf sag but it does get a little tall if you're going for that carpet look.
  14. Yep it's on Tuesday Feb 10 2015. If in doubt you can always count on it being every second Tuesday it doesn't change.
  15. Whoa that's a pretty good start. So easy to give in to getting more, one is never enough. Welcome
