That's odd, I'm sure I read that broken and used aquaclears were included. I'd maybe suggest calling ahead to whatever store beforehand just to check their interpretation as there definitely seems to be some disagreement and confusion.

It's one per customer, and Petland wide ASFAIK (it's definitely happening at Shawnessy petland). And it isn't only competitors brands, you can take in an old, broken AC 30 and get a brand new one for free.

Hi All! I thought I'd introduce myself and talk a little about what my plan is for the tank I'm setting up. I've lived in Calgary for almost two years and I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to this hobby! I've got an empty 20gallon high that I'm (slowly, I'll admit) setting up for a tropical community. My plan is to use Flourite Black Sand for the substrate and plant as heavily as I can (throw it all at the wall and see what sticks!). For livestock I'm thinking a school of harlequin rasboras (maybe neon tetras instead), a group of corydoras, Red Cherry shrimps, and a snail or two. This probably isn't the right subforum to ask for advice but I would welcome any advice you guys have to offer.

Looking good! Does this kind of pleco get as large as the common pleco does? What a handsome fish!
