Fishful Thinking
I did the big switcheroo (to use Jason's language) to use the vertical space more. Before: After: Edited March 10, 2009 by Fishful Thinking
Fishful Thinking
great photos, I like your setup! Thanks! It's been a lot of fun so far.
jvision
Looks good Greg! Just make sure that the rocks don't rock on each other. Otherwise, if there's any digging, they'll come crashing down. If you want a lesson in rocking, I'll show you next time I'm over (hint, hint!) digital-monk
Do you find the fish use more of the tank when the rocks are more vertical like that? I think I'd be worried about the pile tumbling, so I don't think I'd want to try.
Fishful Thinking
Yeah, this is not the final version, but the rocks on the bottom are pretty well solid (so far). The catfish really like it, as do the mbuna in the tank. It actually allows me to see more of those fish because I can look at them from the sides now. I'll probably revamp it for safety, but the overall idea I like. Alright, Jason, I'll talk to the boss and we'll have you guys over for some eats and a "rock" session! Slough Shark
Wow, Greg. You've really got the hang of this now! All you need is an external flash to get those "natural lighting" shots that Patrick and Gerry get.
Fishful Thinking
Thanks, Taylor! An external flash is on the shopping list, but I don't think I'll ever be at a Gerry or Patrick level. I am looking at getting the same 60mm macro lens as Patrick uses, fingers-crossed.
