I set up a 75g tank and I guess I'll be documenting its progress here. :P

So far I have a sand substrate with a peice of drift wood and a couple rocks.

Its running with a aquaclear 70 and I just added a cascade 1000 thanks again

henry for the discount and dustin for setting it up for me.

Here's what it looked like a week ago or so...

Well I've sold and rehomed all the fish in my tank to make room for the stingrays.

I've added 7 silver dollars a black ghost knife fish and 2 motoro stingrays.

Full tank view

Congrats on the new rays. Definitely a great looking setup! You might get lucky with the rays lasting over 6 months in that tank, but you will definitely need much more filtration for them if you plan on keeping them much longer than that in there. Rays produce a TON more waste than other fish that 'appear' to be about the same size, so you need way more filtration at the very least.

Sometimes the rays are shipped with a stinger shield. It looks like that blue thing might be them. If they are, they should definitely be removed.

Good luck with the rays though!! They become monsters so hopefully you have a 250 or 300g ready for then.

I'll definitly look into another cascade or rena canister then. I've already started saving for the 200g+ tank i'll be needing
