rED O
well it depends on the cichlid if we were to compare the oscar cichlid and the mbuna cichlid oscar fry can reach a inch in one month and the mbunas would be a snack for the little oscar. it depends, what kind of cichlids are we talking about? darkangel
I have yellow lab fry, krib fry, and julis all in a 60 gal grow out tank without issues. All fry range between 1/2" & 1.5" in length.
Vallisneria
As long as you can tell them apart(different patterns or colors, so you can tell them apart) and they grow at a similar rates(so the big ones can't eat the little ones) they should be fine. soliver
I have never had a problem. I keep 1" fry with 2 1/2" fry and they do fine.
