Also, I'm assuming since they are supposed to reach around 18 inches that a 2' by 6' 180 gal tank would be no where near large enough for them in the long term. skynoch Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 Rays usually don't mature until there 2 years old. With a 6-7" disk I would guess it to be 1/2 to 1 year old. You could house the rays in your tank somewhere between 1-2 years. A motoro can also reach the 27" plus disc size but is not that common in home aquariums.
