Fishful Thinking
Thanks, guys. I picked up the black sand a long time ago from Big Al's. Thankfully I kept it in a pail for a while and didn't throw it out.

jvision
That's a great carpet! It's going to look phenominal when you get the whole back gets covered and the hoses are hidden! Is that pic taken with the lights off and just flash?

Fishful Thinking
Thanks, guys. First pic is flash with lights on, second one is just tank lights. I want to move the hoses outside the tank and just split it sooner on the line coming out of the filter. That way I will never see them when I prune the plants down. I am looking at the Rotala macrandra and one of them has about an inch or two before it hits the water line!
Fishful Thinking
I have been battling some hair algae because of some neglect before the big switch up to macronda. I went from fertilizing three times a week to once a day and it has seemed to make a big difference.
