These are a rather unique species often keeping wild habits while bread in captivity. Fiercely aggressive while mating but docile the rest of the time. Plants can be kept with them as they won't be harmed except while defending territory.

I found this odd as they're actually taking the kids for a walk at great risk of loosing some.

Don't you also keep/breed gymnogeophagus?

Lost them all in the fire but I'll be looking to add a few later. Have been thinking about satanoperca daemon just because of the name.
