Updated: Started list of 'Death Tank' products. Know of anymore? Drop me a line so I can add it.

I've started this topic in hopes that a neat and organized list be compiled of aquarium safe silicone. Such info is spread all over AA in many posts.

When adding your own listing, please include the following:

1. The product name in text form
2, A picture of the tube that shows the name of the product
3. A picture of the product's use area which states 'safe for aquarium use'
4. A picture of the product's upc

I've mainly asked for pictures as it is more quickly referenced than a text list of names and numbers. However I also asked the products name in text form so that specific brand can still be found with a search.

I've never needed (yet) to use silicone in an aquarium environment so I cannot add any data. I'll leave it up for the members @ AA to populate this topic. If you have this information and don't want to post yourself, pm me with pictures and I'll add everything in this one post with credit shown as to who added what products.

Order in times of posted or pm'd with info.
( special note: please take under consideration using a product as a sealant / product as an adhesive and choose the best for your purpose, a tank repair or a full new tank build...a kind reminder by jcdg)
( special note: please avoid anything that says mold resistant or similar)

While GE1 works just fine and is safe, I would personally not use it for an adhesive for assembling aquariums. Any other use, go for it, but be clear that is is a SEALANT and not an adhesive. For building aquariums I recommend an adhesive type silicone such as Momentive RVT-108. If you want black try RVT-103.

got a question about this RVT-103. Ive heard about it in several different places when I was looking at relining my tank. Whats so special about this stuff? Is it a tape? All I can seem to gather is that its supposed to be very tough

Never used but from reading it seems to be a paste sort of product. Very strong so used for making aquarium etc than just a sealing product.

What about Dap 100% window and Door sealant? I thought I read it is a good choice for aquarium safe silicone.

About 5$ from Totem, there are 2 similar types so steer clear of the mould resistant stuff.
