Aqua_Yoda
Hi, I am asking for your opinions on this new never used 180g aquarium I got for xmas. I am a bit of a hypo when it comes to these things and want to know if I should worry about these structural seem silicone air bubbles, so any opinions good or bad are much appreciated! Pics are of 2 different seems Edited February 10, 2015 by Aqua_Yoda
zoopkamol
seems like a lot of air bubbles in the silicone myself I would reseal the tank but that's just me I'm sure others will chime in with other advice of what to do or if it ok. My only concern would be if it does fail 180 gallons of water on any floor is never fun.
blink
Was it a premade brand name tank or custom? If it was a brand name tank and you bought it new you could try to exchange it but christmas was a long time ago. If it's a custom I'd call the builder and ask what their policy is on repairing such shoddy work.
Aqua_Yoda
Was custom, can't return it tho because I have no idea who the guy was. All bubbles are in the structural seam, repair would mean complete tear down. I was considering adding 1/2" glass shelved in the sides which would double as cross braces as well. Would this help?
