rodsboys Posted March 31, 2015 Report Share Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) I use one of these on my pond. Think I paid $80 for it. New bulbs only cost $20 and I change it every year. Never have disease or green water. Pond was like pea soup when I bought it. Cleared it up in a week. EDIT: Sorry, for some reason I can't post a link here. Psylant Posted April 1, 2015 Report Share Posted April 1, 2015 I guess it depends why you want to run a UV sterilizer. If you're only hoping to clear up green water, you can undersize the UV a bit. Ace22 Posted April 1, 2015 Report Share Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) I use an Aqua Ultraviolet (UV) Water Sterilizer on my 350 gal tank. I have had it running for 6 yrs now trouble free. I have had no disieses or algae since I installed. Make sure you size it properly according to your pump size the volume of the tank and the results you are looking for. I use a 57 watt.
