A Few Of My Discus

I find the wild ones are more needy than domestic varieties. They require a very clean tank as the low ph where they come from seems to make them vulnerable to bacteria that thrive in our high ph water. Most discus people do major water changes daily. I have kept my stock low (13 fish in a 230gallon) and I do 30% water changes every 2 days.

I don't use RO water but my house is filtered by a Pelican water system. I don't have any chlorine and water comes out of the tap at 7.5 ph.

Are you running off a well, or does the Pelican work on city water also?

Yeah, I've had a few issues with them already. I got a group of wild caught discus and only 2 of the 8 are left. The domestics are doing pretty good I think I have a couple that are paired up, but then I have one that hasn't been eating. They are definitely harder to keep than most fish. Here's a few new pics:
