hailstorm
we are converting our 5' 120 gal tank from discus to cichlids. I'm new to s/a cichlids, so I'm wondering what everyone would recommend for stocking the tank? I plan to use a sand substrate with some driftwood and rock. looking to have a few different species if possible with some nice color for my kids to enjoy. nancyr
I have a 120 SA tank filled with different Severums, angels and my favourite L# plecos. They are all peacefully co-existing. Though I must say not as exotic as Discus. (nor as fussy with water conditions either. Nancy

biodives
In addition to the above you could consider mesonauta as a species that occupies the top half/surface of the tank and I think Biotodoma's (Cupids) are very pretty too. Much smaller but very pretty are the Dicrossus checkerboard cichlids.
