Eugene
Can I dry and use these leaves in my tanks?
ckmullin
http://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/poison/ficus/ Other things are better than this. Almond leaves kick butt. I guess I should also say, yes these would be dried...might not have much sap and fish are not a horse or a dog or a cat. Point being compounds in this species are toxic to some living creatures therefore for me I would not use for any type of living creature. amedublu1
I'm also curious about leaves...are there any leaves from local trees, like poplar, that can be used if dried.
nancyr
You can use Alder cones, they lower PH and supposedly have anti fungal properties and Alder trees grow in Alberta. Do a search in 'inverts' for indian almond leaves and you will come up with some information, also where you can harvest them. Nancy
