  1. I had 7 clowns but I lost one when the town water went bad this year. The one I lost was a wild caught one. I still have 6 clowns including a wild caught.

your clowns look awesome! i had trouble with my co2 tank and it killed all but one...just the other day i got five new loaches to keep the survivor company.

  2. Came home last night to find practically all my fish dead....the CO2 was bubbling like mad. For some reason the regulator was pumping out huge amounts of gas into the tank. I quickly turn the damn thing off and did a water change. Only a few fish managed to survive. lost all but one clown loach, three cory cats and a pink and green kisser. :( Hopefully, these guys won't have to go through anything like this ever again.

I've had a similiar tragedy before with a heater and thankfully the (lips) pink kisser and the cats survived...they are really a tough breed!

You guys ever have the regulators go bad on you? Its a fairly new piece of equipment...now i'm dunno if I want to continue using the gas for my plants... Or how can i prevent this from happening again???

  3. these ballast...that can plug right into your timer...are you talking about the complete fixture?? For $16.00 that is cheap...do they come in three feet lengths?

ideally i would like to get a total of four tubes under my 50G but haven't been able to find any deals out there.

  4. Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your comment. I use a digital slr(single lens reflex). Its a 6mega pixel camera that allows you to interchange between different lenses. I do use a flash that I can remotely control via the camera. I set it on top of the aquarium.

I shoot mostly in aperature priority, but sometimes i have to change to manual to increase the shutter speed so that the fish do not get blurred, some of them are quite fast. Post processing to adjust levels and color balance using photoshop. Thats about it.
