Ok well I've always had painted gravel (colourful stuff) in past tanks and now I got geo system sand and just set up a 10 gallon tank with it in (but had to fill the tank about 25 times and empty it to rinse out sand (and still was very nasty). I'm going to be setting up a 90 gallon tank w/ same stuff. Any suggestion to rinse it easier/faster?

If they do I'd float a plant for them to hide in.

I read that it was a convict and severum

dosnt it not make more sense if it was a redvil...compare a redevil and severum and would that not make a parrot. I've heard this from many. and also I found out that the redevil will not bread with severums so they started it all in a petree dish?

is this sand safe for tanks? and also is this sanitized playground sand?

I was wondering what kind of rock should I use or can I go with the target playsand ?

and If I use the sand would the live plants be okay with that?

What kind of filter would I use if I used the sand ?

I've had a few people that have had their angels kill dwarf gouramis, but they had in smaller tanks so I think it should be fine.

Live plants are fine with sand.

Prime has been recommended to me by several seasoned aquarists to remove ammonia. It only works for 24 hours though so if you are using it to control excess ammonia you need to dose every day.

Prime has to deal with ammonia, because it deals with chloramine which breaks down into ammonia.

Prime rocks.

I've been told twice that prime does not remove ammonia.

It only alters the water so that test kits do not read it.

Any opinions?
