Hi, guys and gals. I have enjoyed reading these forums, as I got my tank started up.
I have had a 92 gal bow-front running now for about 3 months, and my wife and I are loving it. We set it up as a South American tetra tank, with a few White Cloud minnows to cycle the tank initially and some SAE's to control the algae infestation. The fish are getting along fantastically, and the plants are doing well too, using Flourish Excel in place of C02 injection for now.
The tank currently has 5 minnows, 11 cardinals, 5 emperors, 5 diamonds, 2 SAE, a BN plec, and some snails and shrimp that came along for the ride. It has some well-established vals, cabomba (red and green), alternatha, and lileopsis for the little guys to swim around in. It is doing so well that my wife, who started out as "Enjoy your tank, dear", now has one of her own 30 gal, with rasboras, some of the minnows, and preparing to introduce a betta.
Thanks for all the great advice I have read so far, and the collegial attitude I see here.
