I see you got some of my Fugly zoos ( the brown hairy ones) I polluted the Edmonton area with those about 5 years ago now the whole city has them :boxed: I would frag them up at the frag meets and have Murray's famous 5 buck zooz would make between $150-300 just on those zoos  Then when i couldn't sell them anymore I polluted with xenia the last couple years I have just giving it away now i just flush it no one wanted it( last week covered the bottom of 2 ice cream pails) but i see some people on canreef have been selling xenia again guess i should start mounting some up.
oh PS nice system there

Full tank shot???

Can you keep any of them together?
-
Gee those would make nice reef tanks
-
Are they the same a stickleback minnows?

I take care of most of the trucking into the Edmonton water treatment plants. I cannot tell you what it is all used for but I know some.
Sod Hypocholite(bleach) water treatment
Sod hydroxide (caustic) PH adjustments
Aluminum hydroxide (alum) PH adjustments
Hydrochloric acid (HCL) PH adjustments
Chlorine toners water treatment
Poly aluminum chloride (PAC) takes out suspended soilds
Aqua ammonia ?? think goes with chlorine to make chlorime
Fluosilicic Acid (flouride) used to make teeth nice a white...but now is used very little

I store mine for about 30 seconds before I dump it in
-
I keep one on hand to hook to the cordless drill in case the power goes out works for agitation and water movement on my salt tanks

I usually wet skim, but if I am going to be away I turn the skimmer to dry skim so there is less chance of an overflow (I have no sump so I am cautious). If you take this question over to canreef you are bound to get more opinions from some much more experienced reefers than me.
does you skimmer have a little plug thats blocked off for a hose? if so drill it out and make a snorkle out of ridged tubbing to just below the height of the cup lid then add a hose to the nipple on the bottom to go back to tank. So if the cup will fill but when it get near the top it will go down the overflow(snorkle) back into the tank so none hits the floor
-
I dry skim I to me it seems to pull out more
-
I've used Tunzes, Seio's and Hydor and I actually found the hydor koralias the best cause you can put them at any height, not hanging over the rim or relying on suction cups
