Hi there. I was a member of ACE a few years ago, but got out of the hobby. I was wondering if ACE still had the large suction cups to move glass. I am no longer a member, but I have a large sheet of glass I need to move right away and was wondering if I could borrow two out of the four for a day. I could have them back the same day. If it helps, I have a couple books I can donate to the ace library. Not sure who I could pm, so I made this topic. Please let me know
Thanks
Dustin

Right now they are in a 65 gallon. Yes its small but I am upgrading to a 120 tomorrow. For filtration I have a reaction 4 canister filter with a uv sterilizer rated for 130g, a marineland penguin 500 filter ( I think thats the name) rated for 55 gallons, and a cascade 300 is rated for 30g. So 215 gallons of filtration, Iam doing not bad!
Going to try and breed them.

These are the kinds of local postings I was talking about earlier! I think the best deals on asian arows, is to buy from another hobbyist who took care of it well.I know of a few highback redtail golds for sale
even a classic or two..... PM me if interested

Green arowanas are cheap. If you shop around for a RTG here on AA and local adds, you can most likely get one for a good price. They show up for sale here once in a while. Just keep your eye out.

I used to occasionally see my rays get irritated and defensive at my other bottom dweller, but never actually sting them. Thats awesome!! Thanks for sharing.

The short bodies (bonsai) are abominations! haha I don't like them at all. Yes all flowerhorns are very aggressive. You can keep them with other fish you its a larger tank with lots of dither fish. Here is a picture of my old thai silk that I bought off bluecan.

Very rare, and uber cool. Congrats on a great score.
BTW Dustin - high end koi sell for far more than high end aros. Some of the top Japanese koi sell for hundreds of thousands of $$$. The current record price for a single koi is $850,000.
850 000!!!!! for a koi?!
:boom:
-
Wowzers Aro's sell for that much??? Insane!!! That would be quite the catch.
Iv seen some aros worth more then that. Id say the most expensive fish in the hobby, then koi.
-
Hmmm not sure if that is rare or not - throw them on aquabid for 10 grand and see if you get a bite
Hahahaha I was thinking the same thing!! $$$$ :hey:
That's so cool man! I really like them. How's the big guy and Petey doing?

What I mean by strip her is... Catch her and take her out. Hold her in your hand gently, take a cotton swab and open her bottom jaw and have her tilted head down, so the eggs just roll right out of her mouth and toss her back in the tank.

I am guessing you have never owned a 4' tank before, this is absolutely not the case.if you go 4' deep, you may never see your fish, no matter how big they are. They'll just hide at the back of the tank b/c they can. Here
