i know the glass company that made the tank for petland does. but i was told it would cost sum weres around 200+

does any one know of a place that will drill for over flow box's? i am going to be needing one done on my 90 gall.

well i am gonna be gettign a 90 gall from work. i was wondering how many wattage would i need for a coral tank? how big of a sump will i need? how many crabs/inverts can i put in this tank? i am planning on a few clown fish, yellow tang maybe and what ever i feel looks nice enough. i have a few items so far,

-protine skimmers

-chemicals

-power heads

thanks for the info. i will get all my fish corals anennomies and all threw petland since ill get it for cheap since i work there. i am honestly not worried about cost of it all. 2 protine skimmers all ready, stand and tank in2 weeks and when ever i can get the other stuff i will. like i said tho ill try to convince my uncle togive me sum of his extra's so ill see what i can do.

topic says it all. umm right now i have 1 protine skimmer(the one from petland garage sale) and will be pickign the other two up if i can get a good deal on them. i have a little bit of noledge on them and am looking to set up a 90 gall tank. umm i will have to go take a look at big als or golds for sum stuff. for fish im looking at a Volitan Lionfish (Pterois volitans) and a few yellow tangs. maybe a couple clowns im not sure. how much do corals and other living creatures like that run for??

well they rehired me friday morning becuse they found out the guy was lieing about me stealing and so they gave me my job back and a raise and a bunch o stuff, ther in a 29 gall or 33 gall i dont know but hes 4-5 inchs and the clown was 4-5 inchs also so i was suprised he could stuff it half way down.

well a wial back my oscar bit the head off of a bicher, it was cool with me tho i got a replacement. well last night i brought home a small channel cat and a fire eel. the eels fine but cant find me channel cat. so tonight i brought home 1 more channel cat to be buddies with the other and 2 fancy clown knifes thinkin eh they'll be fine with the oscar. hell no. as soon as the clowns were in the sob oscar tries to eat it. i thought it was dead but i got it out and its only missing 1 eye and is really torn on its one side, i was pretty pissed after loosing my job like 1 hour b4 that i just about killed the oscar. now the clowns are in there own tank and i put the channel and the fire eel in with them. i never feed my oscar live food so i dont know why he eats every thing i put in with him

add sum salt also

i warn u know this will cost alot. i have 2/3 tanks planted. my cichlids dont even touch them any more so im happy

i only really want a few lionfish one maybe 2 whats the min tank size for one? and then for 2?

they sold b4 i could even goto ask for a deal on them. i did bring home a couple africans last night that weregonna get killed cuz one had one eye and the other had a small wound. i dont care about that. i saved a few fish. after the wound heals ill sell. nice fish. and it was all free.

honestly those plants that need low wattage arnt very nice, my fav low light is java fern and moss. im growing it on sum drift wood and will sell it once its nice and big

yea at night, there nocturnal. i cought them sleep, i would of never been able to get them both together if it was night, one would be alseep the other roaming around or worse both craoking for females

im planning to get a pac man frog in the near future. but by the time my cons acctually breed i will have one. mine are about 1 inch female and 1.5-2 inch male, but i dont think they like each other. the male constantly chases the female away from his cave. i also think that if theyv laid eggs ether the oscar, rapheal cat or eel has gotten to them.

ok well iv been reading a couple of topics on were ppl are wanting to get this site on a .com type base. and i know that it isnt cheap to do and that could be y the admins have not done so yet. so heres what iv been thinking of so far.

-toris suggested to rahim that we build a few dozen egg tumblers instead of orderign them for 15$ a piece. i figure if we make like 30 of them and sell them off then that will give us good start on paying a couple months fees for a normal site. and we can also do D-I-Y for many things and sell them for $$ for site money and i think all that help out should be rewarded in sum way.

-i know many of us breed fish and other animals alike. i propose we do a fund raiser for this site. sumthing like donate your fish fry and put them to auction at the next meeting. this should raise sum good cash. i also plan to start a big breeding project in the next 4 months on reptiles. i am starting on leo geckos, tree frogs and a small lizard spieces such as anoles or grass lizards. i would most likly sell them off at TARAS shows and other places and be willing to donate a certain percentage to the foundation

- we could also make a raffle draw on this site. we could put sum of our fish and such for raffle on this site and make all procceeds goto the site foundation. has any one been to http://www.winnipegfishforum.info/ ??? it is a winnipeg forum just like this except it has co-operation from a petland. i am sure we can get a LFS to sponer us in sum way.

-also we can add a pay-pal donations link to the site and get a couple of ppl that already are on this site to donate if they want to see this site become a bigger, badder and if its possible(doubt it) better.

-we should have a reconition event to reconise all the fish fanatics in calgary(or any other place in alberta) and make it like a dinner type thing??

i hope the admins see this and see theres a way to make money and ugrade the site

i dunno what u concider to be rare, petland carries lots of rainbows but im not sure of rarity, i dont normaly see them at top many places

ok well since i have a few of my guppies left over after i sold a few, i decided it wasnt worth selling them to LFS so i fed 1 too my oscar, its been in there for 1 1/2 hours and he still cant catch it LOL hes way to slow. So far hes been on a stricked diet on crickets,meal/super worms, wax worms every now and then and pellets which he gets daily cuz the cons cant eat the big crickets and mealies.

how much are golds 55 and 75 galls w/ glass tops?

u been 2 river fronts latly? have u seen the tanks with the top 3/4 or the front pane slide? thats wat i need. just not that big. only need about 1 15 gall like that then 1 15 with all it sliding then 1 bigger with it 3/4 sliding
