I was invited to join Alberta Aquatica in the spring of 2004 and became member #80 on 26 Jun 2004. I was somewhat skeptical at the time as I belonged to a much larger forum on the Internet. I have been pleasantly surprised over the years and this is one of my favorite sites which I check every day or two.

I am just curious, of the first 100 people to join, how many are still active today? (Say, have posted at least once in the last 30 days). Any way of searching to find that out or is it confidential?

I haven't posted for a while so I couldn't see what # I am... haha

Purchased from some Vancouver guys and had some successful hatches...

How did it go?

Well my calvus have finally bred, I know that this is the easy part. I am just wondering how long to leave the eggs in the big tank? Some sites said to move the mother and the "shell" with the babies in it, and some said to move just the babies.

I've also read that you should wait 10 days then move the babies.

Is it best to have no substrate?

Can i put the babies in with some peacock babies once they are eating fine?

Anyone see brown Altum angelfish recently around Calgary? Looking to track down some with brown vertical bars.

firemouth is pretty cool. might have to keep my eyes open for those guys.

I guess I should also add that it is the jbl nano cube with a fairly high flow...

Hey just looking for some thoughts here.

I have a single fish in a 10 gallon (a key hole cichlid) and I was think of doing the same sort of idea with a 25 gallon but I was thinking of a bigger fish.

Any thoughts or suggestions about a single bigger fish for a 25 gallon?

I agree it sounds like it will be a cool tank are you doing a power head? all on one end?

I've had white clouds in high flow filtration and they did well and looked good. I would keep them on the list of possibilities...

ok too cool of a website. I watched the "cardinal tetra in its natural habitat" as well. I will have to check this site out more when I have time.
