Thats why I hate them lol, still pretty shrimps though.
We do need more information on the shrimps like jcgd said. Also if you are suspecting disease, visit:
http://www.shrimpnow.com/content.php/134-Shrimp-Diseases-Bacterial-Infection
It is also beneficial to visit http://www.shrimpnow.com/forums/forum.php as this is a shrimp forum, you might get more help
-
ok then, we'll get there early. Thanks
-
both
But saturday is a first so I want to know what u guys might need help with
-
Just a quick question. Me and a few friends are going volunteering tomorrow. What time would you guys like us to come? And what would we be likely doing?
-
hmm. That is tempting, but I think I have more entries than I have tanks available for them! I have a couple really nice cherry shrimp, and a very pretty amano, but my fave would be Mr. T. - My CPO (crayfish)
@Avianaquatics: I will have a few bags of Cherry shrimp in the auction on Sunday.
Thanks its really tempting! But I'm not sure if my tank is ready for new cherries :/
-
Ahaha I was contemplating bring one of my shrimps but since my neglect most have died off, don't need having them stress out more
-
Just want to make sure the Saturday speaker/show is at the usual Montgomery Community Hall:5003 - 16 Avenue NW right?
-
Really depends. ALL fish will eat shrimp but since Cherries are hardy and produce shrimplets rapidly, I'm almost 100% sure that they will survive, but you would see less shrimplets and your colony would not grow as fast as it would otherwise.

This happened before to me too where the problem affected only 1 type of plant. Usually for me they never get better and I end up just giving up and throwing them out. I find that generally if the plant I bought was initially healthy it would stay that way, but if it had these hole problems then they tend to never get better.
Good luck on yours

In the past 6 month I got too busy and kinda neglected my tanks, after 2 days of cleaning I found 75% of my plants all died and 3 out of my 5 species of shrimps extinct (Tigers, Snowball, CRS UGH!) so I pretty much restarted everything, looking for more plants and shrimps..... Good news is I finally set up my other 10 Gal tank for more shrimps (maybe)
I will be volunteering at the CAS show and auction, looking forward to seeing everyone there

Looks like a nice plant
Consider selling me some when you get extras
-
! Good luck on the breeding program!
-
! My advice is to go with a planted tank
-
Would love to see your MBU puffer!
-
I want to go too >.>
Please let me know how it turns out
-
Cuties Reminds me of a long time ago when I had baby fish.
The tank looks pretty bare maybe consider adding some plants/wood so the parent feel more secure? And best of luck
-
No come over to the HEAVILY planted tank side and get a bit of greenery in your room
-
Wow they are VERY nice and hope you get plenty of babies soon! But I think there was like 3 or 4 bags of the same swords too? I was a runner and remember seeing a few bags of them
And can't wait for spring auction already
I'll let my friends know so we can all schedule to go again and does anyone know if there will be a fish show as well this time?
-
Looking forward to it!
I think the male went for 22 dollars?? He was so cute and I would've totally bought him if I had the space. There was one like him donated at the last auction if I remember correctly
Yep you definitely should
I'll contact you again once I have more of Ann's sword growing
-
Lol werner I'll trade you but it has to be THE riccia at the auction... once the swords produce more shots. Being a runner is totally exhausting I agree. Had 8hours of sleep that night and still can't keep my eyes awake the next day... but definitely looking for wardto the next auction! The free food alone is lure enough
guzookeeper mind posting some pics of the sword? The bag of 50 dollar fish?? Certainly sounds interesting I want to see how they look like
-
I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that they'll change the rules. Last time I volunteered I remember going to 6PM and this time it ended at 4:30 that's like missing 100 or more stuff!
-
What swords??? I didn't remember any sword that went for 50 bucks!
I think the prices were ok I mean the Cherry shrimps were a really good deal and a lot of the tanks went for like 50 bucks!
Since they changed the rules to members only there was less stuff then normal. Dave told me there is usually 800 lots and this time it was only like 450...
Does anyone know for sure if there will be a fish show at the next auction??? I hope there is because I'll get to volunteer for both days
-
Just curious as to what everyone got.
For me I only got 2 plants:
Limnophila aquatica
Echinodorus "vesuvius" - Spiral Swords (fishclubgirl you sure this is a sword plant? It looked awfully like a spiral val to me and as of today I still have a grudge against them )
Also really wanted the Riccia in the cute little containers but 20 bucks is way to expensive for them, if the seller has anymore to spare please let me know
-
Yeah that might be true because I remember that fish too cause it was so unique with the frys and such. I would've totally bought her if she doesn't eat any of my shrimps :P fat chance
