  1. lol yes he has fertilized the eggs befor but they were in my 55 and sadly the babies got eaten but ive got some good news the new male is fertilizing brand new eggs right now!!!! they wont be pure bred marbles but im gonna have babies rolleyes.gif what happens when u breed a marble and an gold do u get koi? that would be awesome

  2. sadly the eggs were not fertilized i think it could have something to do with the parasite the male angel had it was a type of worm and im starting to think they may have made him sterile cry1.gif luckly i have another angel that has bred with the female so i took the sterile male out and put this one in guess ill see what happens

  3. so i recently adopted a couple jack dempsey's and a electric yellow cichlid (i believe is what he is called) who were all abandoned and ill-kept.. unfortunately the only tank i had to set up for them was a 15 gallon. and sadly one of the jack dempsey's didn't make it but the time they spent together they were never far from each other.. now the remaining one is extremely close with the yellow cichlid and she seems to keep to herself in a certain bottom corner and doesn't move too much from it.. is normal? i find that if the pleco or the red devil fry who also share the tank get too close they both with show a lot of aggression towards them.

  4. i just got home from work to discover my angels have bred theyve done this befor in my 55 but my male angel got a parasite and i needed to move him to a different tank and then after it was gone i desided to move him to my 30gal that was empty at the time the female was in still in my 55 and started breeding with my other angel so i moved her to the 30 also worried she wouldnt go back to the origonal male they have been there for 2 days and have started back breeding maybe this time ill get to keep the babys nothing to eat em in this tank =) if they do this will be the first ones to make it any tips on keeping baby angels

  6. hi everyone i have desided to start an 80gal discus tank with live plants this will be my first discus tank so far ive got a few plants and i am cycling the tank with a green terror (dont worry hes going into a different tank later) so far its doing ok nitrates nitrites and ammonia are all at 0 even after not doing a water change in 3 weeks i am having a bit of trouble getting the ph and gh down after adding peat the my ph is around 7.6 and gh is around 13 does anyone have any ideas on how to lower it more also does anyone have any pointers on things that will keep them happy and healthy im pretty nervous about getting discus and can use all the advice i can get i want to learn as much as possible befor owning these beautifly fish

  7. i also used medicated food

just an update on my tank i got some levamisol it worked great all my fish are doing well and if anyones wondering its also safe for african dwarf frogs mine was looking bloated so i left him in and hes doing great now i recomend mykiss to anyone who has these worms the guy really knows what hes talking about

  8. With this parasite, you always have to treat the entire tank and also take precautions that it doesn't spread to any other tanks. What did you treat with the first time? I would suggest checking with "Mykiss" on BC Aquaria as he sells the meds you need and also may be able to give you some advice on its safety. I know plecos would be fine.

the fish i treated in the 10 gallon hospital tank was treated with parasite guard by tetra its active ingredients are praziquantel, diflubenzuron ,metronidazole and acriflavine

  9. Here are far more accurate dosage requirements for levamisol use for the treatment of camallus worms. I also have the meds for sale to treat these nasty worms. PM me if interested
