  1. Big Al's Edmonton had a handful a while back. They are labelled as goliath but are Hydrocynus.
  2. Those fish are really sweet Dan! Great post!!
  3. If you know about them and the various kinds please share your experience with me.
  4. Thanks Jason! BTW the Cardinals are doing great. Thanks again. Pat
  5. I was thinking the same. Will copper harm the bacteria in the filter??
  6. A fish will not work because they are in the system.... Thanks for the suggestion though. Besides my 5 lb Monster would kill the loaches.
  7. I am starting a new tank and want to move everything over but the present tank has a case of snails from the plants I bought forever ago. I was wondering if there is a solution to get rid of these suckers without killing my plants and bacteria in the filters?? Suggestions very welcome!
  8. This sucker is 26". Can be had for $2500 U.S. Can grow to 100 CM. The nastiest and largest Wolf Fish from Venezuela. Enjoy!!
  9. I know of a couple guys that ordered and they were very pleased.
  10. Give Gregg a holler. See what he's got coming in. http://www.cichlidcityaquariums.ca/menu.php?page=stingrays
  11. They have mini shopping carts at Micheal's. But maybe too big for your tank. Probably 10"long. That is hilarious BTW.
  12. Awesome. That's what I am in the process of making is a coil version. I'm glad you noticed it. I probably will make two.
  13. Anyone with experience? I'm thinking of making one.
  14. I bought him from a company called "Below Water" they ordered him from Iquitos Peru. He was then shipped to me . He is 14" and a bit. The tank is 108 gallons and there are numerous tetra's in there. He pretty much ignores them because they are so small compared to him. Thaks for the questions!
  15. This is what he does when I clean his glass. Without flash With flash
  16. I feed my big guy smelt, tilapia, and am going to shrimp. But smelt mostly.
  17. Just wondering your results if you've used liquid vitamin's to pre-soak your fish food. I've seen two guy's who've done it with piranha's and there results were VERY good. Above the norm, believe me. Also has anyone used Essential Fatty Acid's (EFA's) in their fishes diet? I would suspect that Toirtis will chime in on this.
  18. I had 2 but they kept killing my red bellies. My Piraya was getting the beats too so got rid of them. They're very aggressive and territorial. I'll have a line on some in the future here. Just keep in touch with me. I'm in Red Deer. Pat
  19. Rod, hook, and reel. I know it doesn't sound nice.
  20. The picture is owned by Raul Yalan at Neotropical Fauna in Peru. He's the crazy man holding it. The fish is extremely fatigued as it was just caught. You can see the bleeding around the eye and mouth from the hook. Raul say's... " They fight like Lions". After they're brought in it takes about two weeks before they will even eat. This specimin was purchased by a fella in the U.K. for his aquarium. I wish. This particular specimin was between 46-48cm. The biggest one they've seen was 55cm. What becomes more prominent with Piranha as they reach there adult sizes is the height. As you can see. Click on the thumbnail... this pic size doesn't do it justice.
  21. He doesn't seem to be eating them. He doesn't bother too much with anyone but the red tail sharks. They're all still alive, but man they really push his buttons though. It's quite funny. As for Degrassi's question about being bitten... no I haven't. If he bit me it would amputate. When he eats we turn the TV down and listen to him bite. It sounds like a sub-box on real low volume. It's VERY humbling.
  22. Thanks man. What about BULK products. Does anyone know?
  23. I shared the cloram-x product info on another site and one guy who has 2000g in tanks was blown away with learning about this new product. He asled me if I knew of any good Non-Phosphate buffers for PH. Tell me what you know! Pat
