I have been keeping rays for over 9 years and have had many batches of pups over those year but never had I caught or seen my rays ever mate , until now and I happen to have my camera handy.

Western Pumps is a good store to check out. They have everything but there bulkheads are a bit different than most used in the aquarium trade but they work, they are a bit pricy though so I usually order my bulkheads off of ebay.

very nice pattern! are they a pair?
Nope, the cross my rays had and the pure came from I think Europe.

I built it myself, and total cost to build that tank by itself was around $5k but hard to pinpoint cause I built my whole aquariun setup all together and such so I am running much larger equipment to run the whole setup. The link below is my whole setup.

They breed in my 1600gal but my Leos have breed before in my 400gal but as far as motivate them not really other make sure the water is always pristine and I keep them all well feed.

Where did you get the Fly River Turtle from ???? how much do you sell the baby Rays for thanksSuch nice rays. Congrats on the pups. Can't wait until I can get into the black rays myself. Last place I found them were $3000 a piece though . Saving up now.
I don't have a fly river turle. Price always depends on the demand, this pups are I would say right now one of a kind with a lot of potental and have had some very interesting offers but I not sure if I would sell them as of yet.

Dow 795 is a great silicone, I used it in my 1600 gal and on my 300 gal build. The place I deal with is Cascade Aquatechand it located in the just off of Piegan Trail and Deerfoot.

A few days ago my Leopoldi gave birth to three pups, crazy thing is that two of them were hybrids and one looks like a pure leo. I have never heard of this cross of rays so I hope that these pups really develope into something cool. So here are some pics and a link to a short video I took.
Hope you Enjoy

Home depot does have 1" check valve, there brass though and the spring inside is pretty stiff but I removed the spring to reduce the back pressure and just installed it in a vertical fassion so gravity would do the work if the power were to fail.

im serious can i visit to your place
i want to see it..thats awesome dude!!
When I am all done the finishing touch I would be glad to show anyone.
wow, thats amazing, how many hours did it spend you to even make one of those tanks in the wall?
you should come help me do some renos in my basement lol.
you have to do more videos when you are done,
Well I basicly guted my finished basement, moved all the tanks were I wanted them and then built the tank and wall around them. I have no clue on exact time spent cause I have also been doing renos upstairs as well but started this back in Febuary 2011 and prob will not be done everything til next Febuary lol
I will be posting more videos as I complete more.
nice!.. how is the humidity?
Not to bad, I replaced my furnace right before I started this project with to remove humidity but I also cover all my tanks with glass tops and my 1600 has sliding glass doors on the back, so as long as the lids are closed It can be kept below 40% easy.
Heh, I WAS going to post pictures of the new fish room I'm setting up in the place I'm moving into buuuut... What's the point??
Amazing setup. Love it.
EDIT: Any stocking ideas for the 1600g or not sure yet?
Well I built it for one reason, my rays. So they are going in it, as far as other fish, one day here I would like to get an Asian Arowana but not sure cause my rays have been breeding like crazy and I do not want to have to aggresive or large predator in there to eat the pups. Any Ideas are welcome.
