  1. They can also be very skittish and bang themselves into the glass if scared.

Yah I had those once upon a time. If people tap on the glass or make sudden movements they would hit the glass so hard that they would float to the top as if they were dead, probably knocked out. Poor little guys.

  2. We've had 6 Lemon tetras for 3.5 years now with no problems.

But in the past week or so one of them has developed a white spot over his/her eye.

The eye doesn't protrude, it is not stringy, fluffy, or anything like that.

He/she acts very normal, eats, swims with the rest, all that normal fish stuff.

Could this be like an old age thing? Like a cataract? :eh:

  3. Good to know there are some locals here!

Yes I checked out the fish also at the new Wal-Mart here in Wainwright.

Not a very big selection, but its new, and the tanks are clean... So far anyway.

I agree with Vapor, they are the first fish, so no need in quarantine them.

  4. I am looking for some small measuring spoons. I would like them to be down to 1/32 teaspoon.

Seems everyone in the states can find them no problem at Wal-Mart, but I have no luck.

I can only find ones down to 1/4 teaspoon.

Anyone know where I can get some?

    Thanks In advance!

  5. Well these cheap things are costing me a fortune in shipping fees.

So far from Best labs since they sent everything to me in single LARGE boxes, even for the smallest of things, has cost me over a hundred dollars in duties and taxes. :cuss:

    I payed $25 for a $2.77 thing. :(

I keep receiving invoices from Fed-EX... Never again will I buy anything from the states ever!

    GOOOOOO :ml:

  6. I'm trying to figure out if I can run my Rio Hyperflow 14HF pump externaly. It says never run out of water, but yet is packed with what seems like hook-ups that you cna make it external.

Does anyone have one like this? Or know if I can or not?

    Thanks

  7. I have read that silicone tubing looses about %30 of co2 through the tubing wall, and I just don't want that much loss.

There is tubing some tubing that has a loss of just about nothing which I am trying to find, I guess I could just order it online. ;)

Anyone else out there know of any in edmonton?

P.S. Thanks for the prompt replys already Tanker, and BlkWolfe.

  8. Was wondering were in Edmonton can you buy real CO2 tubing.

I asked at Big Al's and the two girls I talked to, didnt really know what I was talking about, or anything about having any.

Also where does everyone get there plumbing suppies? Can you use that black PVC pipe? Do you know where to get the white PVC?

    Thanks in advance. :)

  12. I'm buying a Pressurized CO2 setup this Christmas, but have no idea where to buy one?

I'm looking for something with a maximum height of 25" as big a bottle as I can get... Also are there any stores in Edmonton that sell all in one regulators? Like Solenoid, bubble counter, and needle valve?

    Thanks

  13. Well I think that I should be fine in the Potassium area, I might dose like 5ppm maybe with my macros... just to get rid of what I have bought already awhile ago when I knew less then I do now.

    Thanks again Milan
