  1. hi every body i have 2 nice jack dempseys, the dark one is about 4 inches in lenght and the other is around 2 inches really hoping that maybe i scored a nice mate here they really enjoy hanging out and dont show ne signs of aggression to each other if ne one can give some insight on there sexes id really appreciate it thx Jackel
  2. well the female is great she wont let the male near but i think its because she is a wild caught terror and hes not but i could be totally wrong on that on why she actually hates him
  3. Lol just witnessed a true mother green terror lights went off and she rounded up all the fry and put them to bed in there little hole i thought it was neat

  5. As the topic says I am now the proud owner of 200+ green terror babies really cool to watch a big cloud of these little guys swim around the tank and wow the female is just amazing with them
  6. Well I was thinking at the current sizes they would be ok I don't mind upgrading to a 200 gallon tank in the the next 6 months or so but I think double the tank size would be enuf

Ok so I missed informed about name that one looks like the fish thx alot for the link I knew they were nocturnal and loved caves/tunnels to hide in I want to put him on with a oscar he actually was raised with 2 of them so I don't think it should be a problem any insight on that would be greatly appreciated Thx Adam
  8. Thx for ur input man I figure my filter have at most a year to 3 left but as they go maybe I'll start looking at the eheim series I know they cost less a year to run by almost half and over all output is a higher percentage thx again

Hi all I have a 110 gallon 5 foot tank and currently setting up and cycling for a Oscar tank I currently have a4 inch albino Oscar and a 3 inch black Oscar and a 2 inch jack Dempsey I'm getting a 10 inch red Oscar and 10 inch catfish once cycled l currently run 2 filters a fluval 405 and 404 is this going to be to much for my tank or am I ok Thx Adam
  10. I have access to a eheim 2028 pro 2 just don't want to spend the cash if my fluval 405 or heck if I pick up a fx5 and they can do a better job

I'm picking up a sun collared catfish from aquarium designs in north Edmonton he's a rescue fish just curious about max size I'm looking at I have found 12 inch max but I figure I have access to people who know there stuff here i got 110 gallon tank and have no problem upgrading my tanks to accommodate my fish if ne one knows ne thing about these fish I could use ne info u can give Thx adam

Hi all I'm just looking for other experienced fresh water hobbiests out there to help me out about filter I'm a fluval guy but have been seeing alot of people with eheim line wondering which people think is better I use 2 filter on most my tanks so I can cycle my water 10-15 times a hour and have always been a fluval guy Thx adam
  13. hi all my name is adam i just started up a membership the other day and am already finding the group very useful and informative and for that i thank all of you just a bit about my tanks 1)65 gallon semi aggressive tank with 3 angels 2 kissing gouramis 2 silver dollars and 2 pictus catfish filter aquaclear 70x2 2)30 gallon traopical community with 2 austrailian rainbows 4 gouramis assorted 8 guppies clown loach bristle nose pleco and some black skirt tetras filter aquaclear 70 3)110 gallon oscar tank 1 4 inch albino 1 3 inch black 9 inch sailfin pleco 7 inch golden algae eater 2 inch jack dempsey and soon a larger oscar and catfish from a fish rescue filter fluval 405 and 404 4)55 gallon empty fully cycled tall tank waiting to decide the type of fish going in filter aquaclear 110 5)10 gallon girl tank(pink) for guppy breeding been really into fish for past 5 years and love learning new stuff all the time really enjoy sitting in my fish room and unwinding.
