Welcome! I started out with Mollies too, but I contracted a disease, and now (according to my wife) I have too many tanks.
You're not alone... haha

For relatively affordable option, I recommend Sunblaster T5HOs. I bought a 24" new at store for $30 a couple years ago. I'm sure the longer ones are quite affordable as well!
Check them out!

I used the Finnex line of LED and found them pretty good.

I'm excited!
Good list of hardware you have there!! Keep posting entries!! hehe

I would also do opposite sides as well to create a complete waterflow cycle.
Reef project? FW project? Full support either way

Good tank. I like the height and color variation.
bleach dip the pipes and then use the kids craft pipe cleaners to finish up the job
Thanks for the tip!
Any type of bleach works? Do you dilute the bleach with water?
I like how your pipes match that red plant in the back lol. Nice tank!
haha yes... I did that on purpose

Last shot before tank move

Recent shot with the dirty lily pipes... gotta do something about them... haha

Best of luck to you!
I want some if you are successful... hehe -
No insight to the power outages and best of luck to everybody who are affected.
Just curious, where did you find the oxydators? I have been looking for them and I can't seem to find a place that ships to Canada?

emersed setting?

To be on a more neutral stance, regular ebay lily pipes has worked fine for me over the past few years. $20 for both the inflow and outflow have lasted me 2+ years. I don't find the glass to be thin and find them quite sturdy. If money was not a problem, the branded ones would be what I would get....but money isn't popping off my tree yet...
I can vouch that normal ebay ones function the same as the branded ones. So go whichever way your wallet takes you. For the ebay ones, you don't get bragging rights nor do you get the fancy labels on them
But if you are just looking for lily pipes that provide the basic function of flowing water through them, ebay ones will be suffice.

Hi fellow members,
I am just curious where you all get your dry ferts?
Do you guys buy online or is there a shop around town that carries them?
Thanks!

The plant one seems to be more worth it... just for the CO2..but then you will be suckered into buying refills which can rack up... haha

Nice Ron!
Any coral plans?

That stand is so nice!!!

I would one day love to venture off into the discus world as well.... haha

In my experience, If it is the female's first time being berried, it is very common for her to drop them. Even if your water quality is top notch. It is not your fault. Let them mature and see what happens the next few time she gets berried.
