  1. Hi everyone... slowly got out of the hobby a few years ago. Constant moving around made for too much stress on my fish. But looking to get back into it... only problem is I live in BC right now in Kamloops. Does anyone know of a good forum to join? Thanks for all your help!!

  2. Right across from Big Al's is a plumbing place that had everything I needed. One stop shop instead of checking all over. I also went to Western Pump just off Barlow cause it was closer for me (in Okotoks)

I have a few projects for the xmas season and will be going to Western Pump again for sure!!

  3. Just brought home some new rays from Cheon. 2 ladies and a dude. got them in my new 250G and loving it.

Although the pump I have is super loud... Anyone have some tips on how to make it quieter??

Pics coming... trying to make em smaller so I can upload

  4. I'm picking up 2 BD/leos from Cheon also. (1 male and 1 female) He's gonna hold them til early December when I get back from a work trip. Just got a sick 250 G just for them that I'm plumbing up right now...

Plumbing... SUCH A PAIN IN THE BUTT!!!

But it is going to look sick! :D

As soon as they are home and chillin their new tank I'll post some pics

  5. So in two different tanks I have stingrays that are just hovering at the top of the tank in the bubbles rising from the airstone in the tank... normal or are they about to grow legs and walk out of the tank... thoughts and or ideas??

  6. I am starting up a new 90 gal aquarium I just got off a guy from Kiji. I am going to have it as a community tank but am hoping so save a few dollars where I can. Is there any inexpensive ways to put gravel or a substrate into an aquarium. The gravel at any of the big stores is expensive, especially with the size of tank I just picked up. Someone at work suggested chicken scratch (gravel you can pick up at UFA?) would really appreciate any feed back. The aquarium came with a fluval fx5 canister filter, incase that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hey if you are still looking for gravel I have loads left over from various tanks. I'm starting to go commando in my tanks for my rays. (lol commando is just glass in case you were wondering.) (well I think I'm funny)

If you want it its yours just bring a bucket(s) so I can keep my containers. I have black and then a bunch of multi color

  7. I love it dude!! I built a big pond in my back yard over the last few summers too... Soo much fun and I love falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall. Really kicking myself for not documenting the whole thing to share with people and give them Ideas. When everything open up again in the spring I will post some pics of mine and show it off!

    Awesome build!

  8. So I got a phone call from one of my staff this afternoon...

90% of my fish in my big 500G at my work were dead. Some time yesterday a breaker tripped and shut off all my filters and air and heat in my tank. 5 rays (11 if you count the 6 babies one of them had some time yesterday also) and a wolf fish gone...

Just wanted to post as I know everyone here will feel my pain. :'(

  9. I'm not moving anytime soon but I'd like to know before the time comes and I have to panic and make something up.

Whats the easiest way to move a ray from one tank to another? Also best practice for pups? I know I have female and breeding will happen. Should I make a container to float the pups in or move them to a different tank right after birth?

    Any advice would be great!!
