Good points guys. A sunblaster is going to be the cheapest way to start on my 10 gallon me thinks.... I might consider going custom LED build from Modular LED when I do my custom tank. But for now sunblaster it is!

Are these LEDs any good for plants or are they just bright? http://www.aquatraders.com/LED-Freshwater-Bright-12-p/56201.htm 6500K colour, but only .06W? This doesn't necessarily mean no good but I am leaning to just for lighting and not for growing. Anyone have any experience with them? I know one can go sunblaster for cheap, but options are good right?

Flourish Excel, so does that mean you were missing some nutrients before you started dosing? If so, which nutrient do you think it might be?

For you guys using the filter intake, are there no problems with the bubbles messing with the impeller action? Or is the CO2 completely disolved by the time it gets to the pump?

What is everyone using for CO2 diffusing? DIY reactor vs, ceramic/glass vs. ? I was planning to build a DIY PVC reactor but came across http://www.dealextreme.com/p/aquarium-fish-tank-co2-atomizer-system-8-12mm-hose-107659 today. Seems kinda small to be effective enough to fully diffuse CO2 before it gets spewed out the other side. Thoughts?
