Thanks for this post. Even if it is just the natural Colour, the blue hue is quite cool.

I just started with RCS, and now see where I need to get to.

Which petsmart did you find them at? I try the pet store in west hills, and rarely see too many shrimp.

I use a lot of google, but also use Www.aquariumadvice.com .

As you mentioned, this site is excellent for local contacts and information, so I try to read here first, but the traffic on aquarium advice provides much more content.

I saw through twitter that riverfront has some good quality red cherry shrimp right now. Pisces had some nice bumblebee yesterday as well.

Unfortunately, my tank is still cycling, so just playing the waiting game now.

I have settled on yellow shrimp for now, and will add more compatible varieties after everything stabilizes.

Thanks. I was at riverfront the other day, and not much at this time, but I guess I will keep watching. I never thought of petsmart, so I will start monitoring them as well.

I started in this hobby at the beginning of 2011, as a form of stress relief, and have become addicted.

I stumbled upon this forum last week, and am excited to get more local information than the other forums.

I am just starting up a small shrimp tank. (Fluval Edge 6 gallon). I have seen a reasonable selection at Pisces, but not much of a selection anywhere else.

Does anybody know of another place to buy shrimp. I have some RCS in my other tank, so am looking for something different.
