  1. I'm in the proces of setting up a new 120 sw tank and am looking for ideas for a good 40 gal sump. I was thinking half would be bio balls, skimmer and baffle plates and the other would have lots of live sand and rock.
  2. Hey Dominic, I am about to start a project building a foam rock wall for a 120 gallon reef tankand I was planing on extending the back wall out 4 inches from the back corners on each side to have a hidden area for the sump intake and return. For the intake I was hoping to design it as a spill over style and for the return have a couple of PVC tubes hidden in different levels to allow the water out in different zones. Would You think this would provide adequate flow? I will be using my old 40 gallon long as the sump but I'm still not sure on the design I'll be using. Any links to a decent sump/fugue layout plan?
  3. I thought the purpose of the sand or crushes rock was to use live sand/rock to add invertibres and other micro sea life to the sump to add to the nutrient removal
  4. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but how do you raise the bbs into larger adult shrimp. I've hatched a few and add them to my tank but I haven't noticed any adults even when I rearrange the live rock
