The greenwater on mine just cleared up. Not sure if it cleared up on its own or if it was because of the reduced photoperiod+Excel+ferts.

Good eye. At first I thought the water sprite was just a large HC but it has really taken off the last few days.

I think the pump is perfect of this tank.

There is more evaporation than I expected, it probably can't go more than 36 hours before the pump would run dry.

The silicone turned out really nice. With professionally polished edges you could build a better looking tank than most you can buy without going to ADA.

I see your point. I like #4 too. I'll try experimenting with some small rock in the foreground of #5.

Unfortunately the boss vetoed #8 - even after learning it depicted a primative race worshippping a crashed alien spaceship. So I am leaning towards #4 (because it looks more like iwugwami) or #5 (because it has a chasm).

Thanks for all the pics. Nice hardscape, in particular the little sacrificial rocks on the left. Maybe varying the spacing or size of the circling rocks might look more natural. Good choice on the big rock. Where did you find it?

The problem with the big rocks will be trimming around them, so I want to try to smaller rocks

I read the smaller rocks in a Iwugwami layout should lean towards big rock in supplication

It is a hand built tank. cainechow showed me the ropes and we used the old glass after he replace some of his house windows. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

where did you get that rock any how?

Burnco. It is rubble from the big Forget-Me-Not boulders. Not sure what type of rock it is. They weigh your car to determine how much you bought. A grocery bag full of these rocks didn't even register on the scale so they gave them for free.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the look of the big rock in #1 but the smaller rocks are too symmetrical. #3 has a more balanced feel I think. Got a few more ideas, I'll post when I get a chance to experiment.

Attempting my first iwugwami-style planted tank. Tank is 10" cube roughly 4.5g. I'm thinking HC for ground cover and hairgrass to hide the black overflow.
