  1. Im ready, have everything needed. My Kh is great right now, same with all my chem tests, Im addicted now, cant stop! I devote all my time to this, my friend even brought all her corals over to my tank because she cant even keep a bubble coral lol. Its ALOT of work but its def paying off.

  2. yea they all adjusted well, although they were the first to die when my tank got infected with Marine velvet, I only have 3 baby Dalmatian mollies left. the clown fish survived, same with my dragonette, chromis, hippo tang(barely) and all inverts), my yellow tang was the first to go :(

  3. He is large, I saw him come out about 9 inches, and he was still attached to the rock. He comes out mid day, grabs food, I caught some of his babies. He creeps me out, and I cant grab him, so I took the rock out and tried fresh water soak-nothing, now im drying the sucker out!!!! HELP!!!!!! He's just to large for my tank!!! And im a girl, and hes right next to my bed, and I hate him. This is the best pic I got of the sucker. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! I don't want to kill my new rock, but this guy has got to go, and the seller(shop owner) wont refund or exchange.

  4. I have 3 Dalmatian, 5 black, and 11 babies so far, and there doing fine. Mind you, I haven't put my clowns in yet, only have 2 blue chromis in, along with my shrimp, cleaner ones and peppermint, crabs and snails, ect. They are AMAZING at eating algae and cleaning the insides of my tank, all day it looks like they are kissing my tank, its adorable. Im going to have to get rid of a lot when I do get my other fish in(wasn't expecting them to be prego when I bought them, ugh! pretty neat that 11 survived, seeing as they were all feasting on the babies, was pretty nasty lol) I hope they get along, im sure the dalmation ones will, as they are pretty hardy and big, but the little black ones do most the cleaning, so id rather have those in. ps if you want any, give me a shout, ill give ya some for free ;)

  5. I have a set of 2 short coralife ones that came with my fish, I might try to fix em to make em long enough for my tank, apparently they cost $200, but who knows...might try to tade?????? thoughts?

My budget on lights would be roughly 2-3 hundred. Not sure on my corals right now, I have button corals and polyps and mushrooms at the moment(staying at a friends till my tank is ready)

  6. Hey, My name is Brittany,

I've lived in the Caribbean for 2 years, Mexico for 1, and have travelled many other places and have grown a strong connection with diving and marine fish/coral etc. I'm a beginner and this is my first tank I recently purchased. Its a 40 gallon. I bought the (insides, fish rock coral, and accessories, heater fans ect) from someone else's tank and am a lil overwhelmed because of the unexpected "hitchhikers" LOL Any who, All I have in right now is my rock cycling with some freshwater mollies I turned into salt (8 of em). Happy to be a part of this group and any help and advice would be great. I've done a lot of research and talked to many professionals and am eager to learn, but patient enough to do it right! Thanks!
