  1. Cycling usually takes 3 to 6 weeks to complete. It really varies. The best thing you can do is lots of water changes to keep ammonia and nitrite down during the process, and keep dosing with prime when you do water changes. No need for the stability. I also agree about aging the water, it will gas off the chlorine, but chloramine would take at least a month, maybe longer. So definitely use prime or another good dechlorinator that removes it.

  2. Canadaquaria is a Canadian Freshwater and Saltwater aquarium forum (http://canadaquaria.forumotion.ca). We have been up and running for about a month and a half, and up nearly 100 members from all across Canada, and even a few from the States. We formed after the unfortunate closure of the Canadian Aquarium Connection, but we managed to preserve much of the active membership base. We are all super friendly group, welcoming new aquarists and seasoned experts. We could really use a stronger presence from Alberta (my home province too!). We have lots of photos, contests, tank journals and a lots more. So come check us out.
