  1. the feeding well isnt completely true. Williewonka does feed his piranhas well.

I thought the same thing. Until i saw the violent attack of the one piranha that he talked about.

I literally screamed. in less then a few seconds half his body was gone.

i would think that its kind of like you never know.

They could be fine. They could not be fine.

If you want to take that chance.

i kept these guys well fed and i would put my hands in the water. the never seem to even try to attack..

  2. as long as the rbps are well fed they wont kill. i had the Oscar and a couple of plecos with them. they never killed. scince the oscar has an eye spot the rbps are confused as to which side to hit. rbps usually attack from behind. plecos have the hard armor and the rbps seem to have understanded that. had the occasional ripped fin but all in all it was all good.

  3. I would think the regular cement would be fine. It is used on household drinking water systems.

sam is right i have worked in the water/sewer gig for a few years normal pvc cement is burtal when "wet" once it cures its safe for anything..... or so "they" tell us

  4. I've used partial w/c water and new water along with dirty media from an established filter and had a tank ready in a week.

ive had sucess doing this method and having a perfect up and running tank instantly (say a 25 gal tank with 15 gal from a up and running tank/ 10 gal new water) with no loses.............ever

  5. i find water changes seem to do the trick...and when i do water changes its useually a little warmer water (1 degree or 2 warmer than the tank)...and sit back and watch the males go nuts...........no pun intended

  6. i have nothing but good things to say about nls. i have african chclids and had some Red bellie Pirahnas...everything would eat nls. and go crazy for it. the growth formula is amaezing. worth every penny..............the rbp's would be very picky eaters........untill i tried the nls...........100% happy customer

  7. i took small clay pots put in a coffee filter then dirt (no fertiler in it) planted the plant folded the coffee filter over the dirt then topped up the clay pot with gravel. works really good. id also suggest plugging the hole on the bottom of the clay pot. the plants grew like crazy. i read in a book that the soil should be good for 4 years but id probabally change the dirt as soon as i seen the plants not growing like crazy.
