had a group of peacocks 1 m 2f had for about 2 years femaile all produced lots of fry....male died recently and one of the females have slowly started to turn blue is it possible that the female turend males? has anyone else noticed this?

I. The thing that I am trying to figure out is why people often make the jump from one sick fish or bad shipment to "that store is horrible". I've seen it countless times and it just doesn't make any sense. im sure there are other reasons for people having that attitude. bad service....bad information given by employees......unfair trade in practices......all goes back to the golden rule.....if you get something you felt was good and fair from a lfs youll go back there and say good things about it. if you got ripped off or u felt like you got screwed by a lfs look at the result.............

unbiased moderator....... some one who doesnt work for any lfs...... some one who understands the legality of it all....... some one who wants people to get a fair review of the lfs out there some one who is willing to stick there neck out for the group.... some one who is willing to got to a diffrent pet store every sun to post a review of that store. after said individual rates the store....people can add thier 2 cents......said moderator will then edit negative posts to keep the opinion voiced in a nice polite legal manner

try a salt water mixture and soak a piece of slate in it let it dry the salt water should speed up oxidizeation....if there is little amounts that might work. if its a larger deposit i dunno clr a piece and put it in a tank with a convict or feeder or something. if u test a small piece you will know if any residue from the clr clings to the rock....

easy as pie the gold top zebras well have gold tops...even the females.....and the yellow chin zebras females are blue so its easy as cake or pie or whater is easy to bake

i am really impressed with their pumps and filters. stock seems all right. its nice to have independantly owned stores so this way we arn't stuck buying overpriced crap from the chain stores

id like to make it so that we all could participate in it at the same time. instead of haveing it edmonton and area -calgary and area- ect. we just have it so the buyer is responsible for shipping araingments. have 10 % of the sales go straight to the web site. mabey get the site sponsers to throw in a few donations. (100% of that goes straight to the site). run it for 3 days.....shloud be intersting to try just like our own little ebay without all the junk

well my 2 cents is that that just might keep the lfs's on thier toes alittle more. the review resturants in newspapers and magazines every day. some get good reviews some dont.........after a few bad reviews a lfs may think about doing something. mabey a edited vendor review section would work. one where as stuff isnt instantly posted but read by a moderator and edited for legal display. whats the difffrence if i bad mouth a store to everyone i know or i read it on the net?

we should try out an online auction where as 1 day 24 hrs we take a forum and post some stuff for sales (sponsers could donate stuff too) say 10 % of the price donated to the site what do ya think. id even volenteer to look after it.

i dunno about the iron but burnco sells slate cheap...all sorts of colours and thicknesses. the red stuff is rust oxidized iron. as for hurting the fish it may. thats a lot of iron to be introduced to the water. plants use iron. hurting the equiptment dont think it would. i wonder if charcol would remove some of the iron deposits. but if it were me id probabally not use it. clen slate is cheap if you no where to look burnco sells it fo like 69 cents a pound (if you buy lots) callem and see

i know a guy selling Group of 4 seven stripe frontosas ranging from 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 inches long. found him on the internet no pix though

i am importing a wild group 2m 3f gold top black zebras and a group 2m 3f of yellow chin zebras. was gonna put them in a 120. will they kill each other and will they cross breed? should i devide the tank or do a wait and see approach?
