I need a roughly 1"id quick connect type coupler (think along the lines of hydraulic quick connects for plows etc), gotta cut off water flow from both sides when disconnected. They manf, tanks, storage units, etc. They carry a selection of ball valves - They have a threaded dis-connect end. No need to remove the hose. Just unsrew the unit. Postive seal. Garhan Posted November 23, 2004 Report Share Posted November 23, 2004 Andy you had seen my water exchange system, but maybe you hadnt noticed the Quick connects at the hoses and at the flowpipe. I picked them up at Home Depot in South Edmonton Common. They dont leak at all. Provided they are installed properly. They are 1" for garden hose hook up systems in a brass product.
