as promised:

Shrimp:

I got my shrimp from brine shrimp direct in the states. They guarantee a 70% hatch rate. I am pretty sure they are hatching at a better rate than that. I've been storing them in the tin in the fridge.

Hatchery:

I broke down and got this:

It is a Hatchery Cone Base that you connect airline and your air pump to the bottom of a pop bottle.

Just cut the bottle at the bottom of the curve. Screw it on. Fill it half full. add shrimp and salt. Turn on the air pump and wait 24-48 hours depending on light / room temp. I also cover the end of the pop bottle with saran wrap so that it keeps the water / eggs inside.

Serving Suggestion:

Once hatching done. Add a small amount of fresh water. This will separate the shrimp from the hatched eggs. Then draw the eggs out the air tube at the bottom.

Rinse the shrimp and serve them up.

YUM.
