dobby968
ok so i'm new at the live plants and was wondering when do you trim them? and whats the best way to trim the plant? Some of my plants are getting to tall for the tank and i would like to snip them down a bit!
Qattarra
You can do it anyway you like. I only reach in and using my thumb nail , simply pinch off the excess. Jason , Val ....the real experts could tell you more. Sue
werner
I'm guessing we're talking about stem plants here. Just pinch them off with your fingernails as mentioned. To replant the tops, remove the extra bit of stem below a node (where the roots will form) and any leaves at the node. Stick it in the gravel. If you want to keep the original part that's already planted (sometimes they're too scraggly), just pinch off any extra stem above a node. New growth will branch out here or lower on the stem. Couldn't be easier.
