jessie83
I was wondering do I use clay or plastic pots in a aquarium for convict cichlids?
Slough Shark
I think that either will do, but you will likely need to weigh down the plastic pots with something.
Qattarra
clay is better, looks better too. If it's for breeding, they prefer a flatish rock . For hiding and territories , piled rocks and caves has worked best for me. Add a couple fake plants and you've got a functional safe tank . Sue I did this and my cons and hrp dug gravel out from under the rocks to get to the flat tank bottom where they spawned
bosshog
Lots of broken pots, rocks and a few plants. You will soon be over run with the little buggers. Brad
Qattarra
Male + Female + Water + Food = fry . Convicts are easy to please , "love the one your with". Mine have always sought out the flattest most horizontal rock. No need for mood lighting , music or wine lol.
